“ My name is Shannon, I’m 20 years old and I’m addicted to drinking gasoline "

Shannon really addicted to gasoline and she can’t go a day without it, she will also crave for it. Shannon needs the gasoline as soon as she wake up from her bed and she will go to the washroom drinking the gas. Whenever she go out, she will put the gasoline in a small bottle. To Shannon, gasoline taste like sweet and sour.

Connie who is Shannon’s mother said, when she first find out about Shannon drinks gasoline she don’t believe it until she smells Shannon’s breath.

According to TLC, Shannon drinks up to 12 teaspoons of gasoline a day. That is more than 5 gallons in the last year.

Shannon addiction has become worse, until she even found other ways of consuming gasoline which is she will deep the newspaper in gasoline and eat it.

By looking at Shannon strange addiction, it really terrifies her sister, Jacqueline. Jacquiline don’t even know how much has Shannon consumes the gasoline.

“ I really always love the smell of gasoline. I remember when I was younger, I used to sit behind my mom’s car and just breath in exhaust fume. It smells good and taste good ", explained Shannon.

According to Shannon, the first time she drink gas, it was not good, burns and really pains badly. Shannon was really upset, alone and always been solely depressed since her parents separation when she was seven .

Gasoline is a mixture of 150 toxic chemicals refined from crude oil. Drinking gasoline can cause vomiting, nervous system damage and death.

Whenever Shannon consumes gasoline, she gets really dizzy. She has really short chest pain and pains in her stomach and in her intestine.

“ My biggest fear is that she could die, I couldn’t  imagine my life without her ", said Jacquiline.

While, Shannon’s mother said, “  I will do anything she need for her to just stop drinking gasoline ".

Shannon knows that her addiction is not safe and it will kill her but Shannon still cannot stop.

Until one day, Shannon family makes a  gathering to discuss on how they can help Shannon to quit her dangerously addiction. All of Shannon’s family members confess sincerely how they really care and love Shannon and how they really do not want to lose Shannon.

After the gathering, Shannon agree to meet the doctor for consultation who is Dr Margaret Mitchell, an Internal Medicine.

Dr Margaret Mitchell tells Shannon how the gasoline has already destroying her nervous tissue, stomach and even her intestine are already being infected.

Finally, Shannon promise to stop consuming gasoline. Shannon has not consumed gasoline since seeing the doctor and she even plans to start addiction therapy soon.

  

Sneak peek: Keyshia eats dirty diapers

We, as a crew of finding for this'strange addiction' of people around the world, trying to search people addiction which we as a human will feel disgusting, but not for them. This bizarre behavior can help us to 'feel' themselves. This week we are seek for this 22 years old teens from United States of America, Keyshia which are addicted eats dirty diapers. She is addicted to chew and smell of it.

She keeps her cupboards, drawers and purse filled with urine-soaked diapers to make sure there's always one close by to satisfy her desire. We are asking where does she get them ? She is very lucky to have best friends named Kim, with twins. Kim said, it was annoying as Keyshia did not care on what time it is, Keyshia will wake up her baby, to take the baby's diapers. 

Keyshia admit that her bizarre behaviour, addicted to diapers startes about 3 years ago. She said that one of her best friend was changing her baby, and the diapers she wants to throw away. But she kept the diapers and smelled it, for every morning. By then, she was able to collect about 25000 diapers for her collection. She will feel her cupboards, drawers and purse with pee-soaked diapers to satisfy herself. 

During her time at kitchen, she will never miss her addiction.

She added, the diapers must have a fresh pee on it. The heavier the diapers, the better the smell. Currently, she is pregnant with her first baby, and her fiance is getting fed up with her cravings. She tells that the soiled diapers from friends and she says that the taste is similar to the taste of sour candy.

ROCKS FOR DINNERS

                People around the world are known to reach for bars of chocolate, a bottle of wine or a puff from a cigarette in times of personal strife. 

                Care worker Teresa Widener, a mother-of-two from Bedford, Virginia,  gorges on stones to lift her spirits. The 45 year-old woman, consumed 3lb of stones or 1.3kg each week and has eaten more than 3,000lbs or 1360KG OF STONES over her lifetime, which is the equivalent weight of a HUMPBACK WHALE!

She selects soft rocks which she can easily break. "I like earthy flavour of them sometimes I just like the mud flavour" Theresa said. Not all the persons can chew the rocks. She chews rocks because she likes the flavour of rock but due to not the scarcity of food for her. When we can guess that her teeth may be strong otherwise she cannot chew the rocks. She chews the rocks using the teeth on the left side of her mouth. The teeth of her left side have grown faster because she has been chewing the rocks for many years. Her new husband sometimes helps her to find the rocks. She cannot completely leave the habit to eat the rocks but her new husband is helping to reduce her addiction. It is very difficult to leave the addiction habit. No one man or woman can easily leave such habit.

While she hasn't kicked the habit completely, it seems her new husband is helping to reduce her addiction. She said: "Jim makes me so happy I've started eating less. But everyone has bad days and when I have one only rocks can make me feel better. "He was really shocked when he first found out I ate rocks, but he loves me for who I am and know it helps me happy if I need a boost." Her cravings for boulders and pebbles is caused by medical condition Pica, which sees sufferers obsessed with eating strange objects. It is thought uncontrollable urges in sufferers could stem from a dietary deficiency of certain minerals. Some creatures in the animal kingdom such as wolves and turtles also eat rocks to help digestion - but it is rarely seen in humans. Doctors think Teresa's need for rocks could be caused by an iron deficiency which has led to her suffering anaemia. She added: "I've never had any medical problems because of the rocks but I don't go to the toilet too often and my tummy hurts a little sometimes."

(/ˈpaɪkə/ py-kə) is characterized by an appetite for substances that are largely non-nutritive, such as paper, clay, metal, chalk, soil, glass, or sand.[1] According to DSM-IV criteria, for these actions to be considered pica, they must persist for more than one month at an age where eating such objects is considered developmentally inappropriate, not part of culturally sanctioned practice and sufficiently severe to warrant clinical attention. There are different variations of pica, as it can be from a cultural tradition, acquired taste, or a neurological mechanism such as an iron deficiency or a chemical imbalance. It can lead to intoxication in children, which can result in an impairment in both physical and mental development.[2] In addition, it can also lead to surgical emergencies due to an intestinal obstruction as well as more subtle symptoms such as nutritional deficiencies and parasitosis.[2] Pica has been linked to mental disorders and they often have psychotic comorbidity. Stressors such as maternal deprivation, family issues, parental neglect, pregnancy, poverty, and a disorganized family structure are strongly linked to pica.[citation needed]


Pica is more commonly seen in women and children, and in areas of low socioeconomic status.[3] Particularly it is seen in pregnant women, small children, and those with developmental disabilities such as autism. Children eating painted plaster containing lead may suffer brain damage from lead poisoning. There is a similar risk from eating soil near roads that existed before tetraethyllead in petrol was phased out (in some countries) or before people stopped using contaminated oil (containing toxic PCBs or dioxin) to settle dust. In addition to poisoning, there is also a much greater risk of gastro-intestinal obstruction or tearing in the stomach.[4][unreliable medical source?] Another risk of eating soil is the ingestion of animal feces and accompanying parasites. Pica can also be found in other animals and is commonly found in dogs.

      Chantal Bank is a woman who is married and have a son. She likes  pet as the other  people. But in her case, her pet are rats. In Channel "Crazy Obsession", they have been exploring about Mrs. Bank’s  strange life.

      “I love rats more than I love people. I do. I do”, said Chantal. She said that she really cannot live without them. According to Chantal, the rats smell like nachos.  Chantal must be crazily obsess with her rats. She has 19 pet rats that she keeps  in her two bedrooms apartment . Chantal eats, lives and breeds  them.

      

       Chantal named all of her rats, such as Lily and Janice. “Rats have different personalities. Janice  loves to kiss, while Lily is my jumper”, said Chantal. She treats all of them like her children.  Now, she has been sharing the room with her rats.

      Kevin Banks, Chantal Bank’s son. As his mother is so in love and addicted to rats,  Kevin have been grew up with rats and get to know each other with her mom’s rats. “ I grew up with siblings and they are rats”, said Kevin.

      But not everyone is accepting her obsession. Chantal moves out of the home that she shares for eleven years with Chester Banks, her husband. According to her husband, “ Chantal buys about two or three rats, and I found about it later”.  Unfortunately, her husband didn’t want to take care of her rats and for her it is really demoralizing. Her husband didn’t want any rats and sometimes Chantal will be quite demanding  in getting what she wants. And finally Chantal realize that she need to get an apartment  and to get her rats out of her house that she has been sharing  with her husband.

     “My husband didn’t has the type of bond that I have with my rats. My rats don’t judge me, they  love me for who I am. When I cry, they will lick my tears and when they hungry, I’ll feed them”, said Chantal Bank.

“My name is Adam and I have an addiction to be Madonna. I really challenge myself to look just like her”, said Adam.

      Adam really loves being Madonna. He spent about 75,000 dollar to look like Madonna. He did his chin done, cheek done and has Botox.Adam started his transformation into Madonna 12 years ago. But it takes more than surgery to look like the Material Girl. According to Adam looking like Madonna is not easy. He tries to emulate each looks of her, from hair, clothing until jewelleries.Adam spent about 100,000 dollar on costume.

      Adam’s addiction started when he was 15. He still remember how he going to his mom music collection and came across of Madonna’s album. Adam listens to it and fell in love with that.

      Annette Guerra, Adam’s mother said, “I couldn’t understand his love and I still can’t understand his love for Madonna”.

      Adam’s mom tries to keep his addiction a secret until “Madonna” comes over unannounced for ladies night. His mom’s friends were so shock by Adam’s appearance which looks like Madonna.

It’s a difficult relationship since Adam doesn’t understand his mom hatred.

      Adam is expecting a visit from his long-distance boyfriend, Michael. But Michael is not a fan of Adam’s “Madonna”.

      “Michael is one of the most amazing person I have met in my entire life. I have a very strong connection with him”, Adam talks about Michael. Michael doesn’t like any of this. Nothing. He is expecting to see Adam and this is definitely not Adam.

      Adam is so nervous to see Michael. Michael is very surprise as Adam walks in and Adam dress likes Madonna. Michael doesn’t expect that, so it was very shock.

      “ I really really care about Adam and the addiction he has with Madonna is going to mess everything up”, said Michael.

      “ If you want to be in my life, I want to be with Adam and if you want to be Madonna then I wish you the best of luck”, said Michael to Adam on their meeting.

      “Madonna makes me feel like a queen. I feel that I’m beautiful when I’m Madonna. I feel respected when I’m Madonna. I don’t know who Adam is”, said Adam.

      Adam and his mother, Annettte are at odds over Adam’s addiction. Whenever they are together it turns into an argument.

      Adam talks to her mom, “ You always said, if you got to do something, do it right, do it to the best, but Madonna, I saw somebody who went from nothing to something, who was herself and didn’t care what anybody said about her. She was born everybody want it to be. Unlike me, when I was younger, I was called ugly, I was bullied”.

      His mother understand how Madonna empowered Adam and how Adam gain from Madonna, but his mother don’t want him to think that he is Madonna. She wants Adam to be Adam. She wants her child back.

      Adam said,” As a child, it was hard to be myself. I disn’t feel good like I could be like myself. Madonna makes me feel like she understood me”.

      Adam wants to do everything that Madonna does. Until one day he go to dance academy and met Carlton Wilborn, a back-up dancer/life coach.Carlton danced behind Madonna on two world tours. But his real passion is helping people through dance as a life coach.

      “ I have met a lot of female impersonator that have done the Madonna. It’s a very different things when you work with somebody like Adam”, said Carlton.

      Carlton wants Adam to be thinking about where is Adam inside of all this. Carlton hopes that the work that he do today, Adam can find the center of himself and so then when he’s doing Madonna, it’s by a choice, it’s not because he doesn’t know how to have a life if he’s not impersonate Madonna.

      Finally, Adam admits that he wants to be Adam and not Madonna. After his breakdown, Adam decided to go back to being himself full time. He sold his collection of Madonna outfits and moved in with his boyfriend, Michael.

TWINS TILL DIE

We're addicted to being identical,' chirps Amy. 'We have matching everything, we have matching jeans, matching pants, matching dresses, matching shoes... We even have matching underwear.

'Our fingernails are always painted the same,' chimes in Becky. 'We wear the exact same make-up always, exactly the same sort of pink-beige blush.

'It is nerve wracking at the salon because whatever you're doing to me, you have to do to her next.'

Amy adds: 'God forbid one of us should break a nail, or trip and fall... I did about a month ago and I had a scrape... 

'I was almost tempted to do it myself so I had the exact same scrape,' confesses Becky. 'We've got to keep it all alike.'

The twins' obsession with looking exactly the same began 20 years ago when Amy gained weight and was left 6kg heavier than her sister.

'For some reason, Amy had gained a teeny bit more weight than me and people were like "oh, you're the big twin and you're the small twin",' remembers Becky.

'Literally from then on out, we eat exactly the same bites of food and the same amount of drink to stay the same weight, no matter what.'

Their rule even applies to the drinks they choose when they go out and the pair carry a set of scales to measure food on the go.

'Whenever we have situations where we can't tell whether portions are even or not, we'll pull out the scales and weigh it,' explains Amy.

They also synchronise their workout sessions to ensure their fitness levels remain exactly the same.

'We have to work out the exact same amount,' says Becky. 'If I'm on the treadmill for 20 minutes, she's on the treadmill for 20 minutes because she has to do the same.'

Although the twins say they're happy with their unorthodox lifestyle, their friend Jillian says she is concerned and worries about what might happen should they be forced apart.

'I know other twins but they take it really over the top - they have to do every single thing together,' she explains.

'One day, they might have to be apart for some reason. And I don't want them to be in the position where they can't function fully because they're apart.

'My main concern is that one would die before the other and the other would be lost, completely, without the other twin.'

In a bid to help the twins, who appear on TLC show My Strange Addiction, Jillian challenges the pair to spend 24 hours apart.

'It's driving me crazy right now because I feel as if half of my body has been cut off,' reveals Becky, who spends the challenge at home alone without her sister.

'I will never agree to do this again. I miss my sister so much - I'm literally counting the minutes until we're together again.'

She adds: Knowing I'm not going to be identical with my sister today is making me sick in my stomach. 

'We're not used to it - we haven't been apart for 20 years. I hate being apart from my sister. I miss her like I miss half myself - I can't wait to see her.'

Reunited, the pair vow never to repeat the experiment. 'We were so excited to see each other,' they chime as one. 'I just don't want to be separated from her ever again.'

GLASS EATER!

Meet Josh,a 27 year-old man who lives in in Ohio. He has a weird addiction, he loves to eat glass. His intention to eat glasses wasn't for shows or any weird events to gain attention no, he eats glass and are addicted to it

 He has been eating glass up to 5 times a week and had consumed more than 250 light bulbs and 100 glasses in his lifetime. Oh and not to miss out, he also swallows live bullets. Yes, LIVE BULLETS. 

Josh likes to use his stomach as a party trick where he consumes the most glass when in front of a group. That's right, it is probable that Josh is doing this for attention. Eventhough some people loves to eat glasses for a daily basis like Josh, but the most plausible reason that he is addicted to this mysterious addiction this is because of in attention. Although Josh says he knows eating glass could be dangerous, he admits that he doesn't do it alone but prefers to eat it in front of others at parties and get-togethers. "I love reactions I get from people," he says. "I guess more than anything, I'm really addicted to the attention." He just loves attention, especially people's reactions when he's eating glasses.




"When I bite into the glass, I just get like a warm feeling," he says. "Normally when I look for glass to eat I look for champagne glasses, wine glasses, light bulbs. The reason I pick these are because they're usually a thinner glass."  




The first reason Josh started eating glasses was  from a book that he was eating. "It was kind of scary at first and then when I realized that it didn't seem to be doing any damage to me, it got a lot easier for me to do." the Wooster, Ohio resident says.




Like seeking a thrill or a high in traditional ways (as in illegal drugs or alcohol), people who eat glass have a legitimate addiction as well. The addiction is called Hyalophagia or hyalophagy and is typically made public in stage shows. You may know the more renowned glass eaters, Preacher Muad’dib Todd Robbins, Matt the Knife, Josh Routh and Michel Lotito. Unfortunately, some people likeJosh carry this act further and eat glass on an everyday basis.






 WHAT CAN EATING GLASS OR SHARP OBJECTS DO TO US?




People who eat glass to fulfill their addiction or habit report experiencing a warm and satisfying feeling from the act. However, this addiction obviously has its risks. The esophogus can be perforated, along with other organs. Eventually, the glass finds its natural route to the toilet. But, this can also be painful and disturbing, to put it lightly.






The risks of swallowing glass or sharp objects depends on their size, shape and sharpness. Small pieces can travel right through the bowel and be passed normally without problems. The bigger the person, the larger the piece that can go through. In general, narrow objects pass through the bowel more easily and smooth ones are less likely to get caught.





Sharp objects such as glass fragments might be expected to cause damage but rarely do so because of the gentle way in which the bowel handles them. Small splinters or spikes could cause perforation but this is very unusual. A small perforation rarely leads to peritonitis and usually heals quickly with any leakage contained. Small fragments may also cause a little bleeding into the bowel which can be detected on tests in the stools but serious blood loss is very rare. Ground glass, despite its reputation in thrillers, has no serious effect on the bowel.
 



In case you are wondering, these items do show up in X-rays. Josh has seen a doctor for his glass eating addiction, thanks to the persuade of his fiance. It is unknown whether these deadly addictions will quickly kill the person or just shorten their lives. Research has not been done on these unusual addictions. Glass eaters like Josh can become attracted to the addiction through reading books about it, from friends or society and of course, through the Internet.






 

GLORIA THE WOMAN ADDICTED TO BLEACH

     

      Bleach is a chemicals that remove colour , whiten or disinfect, often by oxidation. Bleach is use as household chemicals to whiten clothes and remove stains and as disinfectants, primarily in the bathroom and kitchen.
      
      Bleach is corrosive and can damage your skin. It is strange to know if someone love the feel of bleach. It is weird but true.


     With the you tube viewers that  reach almost  4 millions viewers, Gloria a Birmingham woman succeed to caught attention of viewers for her strange addiction. Her addiction is bleach.


     “ I love bleach a lot, I won’t say that I love it more than myself, but I do love bleach “, Gloria said.

      She is not a germaphobes and she is not even afraid of dirt and germ but she just like the feel of bleach. 

 

      Everyday Gloria cleans her house with bleach from top to bottom. For every single cleaning activities in her house she uses bleach, such as wiping the table, cleaning the kitchen, wiping the stairs of her house and also cleaning her bathroom. Every year she uses more than three hundred gallons of bleach.

      Bleach has worn  her cloths and damage furnitures  but Gloria still clean her house with them and just cannot stop cleaning with them because of her strange addiction to bleach.

      Tammy who is Gloria’s friend said that, “ at times Gloria’s house smells so strong of bleach. It feels like it slaps you in the face as you walk through the door”.

      Gloria said that 7 years ago while she was pregnant with her third child, she used to take pieces of tissue and dipped them with bleach and took it like a pill. But her doctor convinced her to stop doing that to her baby.

      Gloria thought that her yearning for bleach would subside after the pregnancy but it did not. But her bleach addiction didn’t go away and she even take another step further.




      Every morning, Gloria bath with bleach. At first she fill her bath tub with water and pour the bleach. She doesn’t fix any amount of Clorox to be poured into the bath tub, she will just freely fill in the bleach until she feel enough.

      “Every time I take shower, I have to use bleach. I have to use it.”
      She will only stop bathing until her eyes got watery.
